Fabrizio Caccavale received the Laurea degree and the Research Doctorate degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Naples in 1993 and 1997, respectively. From 1999 to 2001 he has been Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer and Systems Engineering of the University of Naples. He is currently Full Professor of the School of Engineering, University of Basilicata. His research interests include manipulator inverse kinematics techniques, cooperative robot manipulation, fault diagnosis and nonlinear control of mechanical systems, process control and fault diagnosis for chemical systems. He has published more than 120 journal and conference papers. He is co-author of the books: "Fondamenti di Sistemi Dinamici" (McGraw-Hill 2003, in Italian) and "Control and Monitoring of chemical batch Reactors" (Springer 2011), and co-editor of the book "Fault Diagnosis for Mechatronic Systems: Recent Advances" (Springer 2002). He has been in the program committee of several international conferences and workshops. He has been Associate Editor of the journals Robotica and IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology. He has been Scientific Coordinator of the FP7 IP European Robotics Challenges (EuRoC). He is Senior Member of IEEE.




Francesco Pierri

Francesco Pierri received the Laurea degree cum laude in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Basilicata in 2003. He received the Research Doctorate degree in Environmental Engineering from University of Basilicata in 2007, with the final dissertation "Modeling, Control and Fault Diagnosis for Chemical Batch Reactors". From 2006 to 2008 he had postdoctoral positions at the University of Basilicata and at the University of Naples, Federico II. From December 2008 he is Assistant Professor of Automatic Control and Robotics at the School of Engineering of the University of Basilicata. In August 2017 he received the Italian National Scientific Qualification to the associate professor position. He has been involved in research projects funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Scientific Research, the Italian Space Agency, the European Community (under 7th Framework Programme and Horizon2020) and other public and private institutions. His research interests include: fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control of nonlinear systems, process control, force control for robotic manipulators, fault diagnosis and fault tolerant control of multi-robot systems and control of aerial manipulators. From 2013 to 2018 he has been an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Robotics and Automation and since 2013 he is Associate Editor of the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA). He was in the program committee of several international conferences, such as IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics (Robio) and IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA). He is co-author of the book "Control and Monitoring of Chemical Batch Reactors" and of more than 60 papers on international journals and international conference proceedings.





Michelangelo Nigro

Michelangelo Nigro received the Bachelor degree cum laude in 2015 and Master degree cum laude in 2017, both in Mechanical Engineering. From February 2018 to April 2018 he was Test Engineer at Sidel spa Parma (Manufacturing Company of Tetra Laval Group). From June 2018 to November 2018, at University of Basilicata, he has a postgraduate scholarship, titled " Studio di fattibilità di un veicolo quadrirotore completamente attuato". From November 2018 he is PhD student in Engineering for Innovation and Sustainable Development at University of Basilicata, with scholarship, titled " Sistemi di manipolatori aerei e di manipolatori mobile per la logistica, l'ispezione e la manutenzione". His research is focused on cooperative robots and multi-rotor aerial vehicles.




Monica Sileo

Monica Sileo received the Bachelor degree in Computer Science and the Master degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Basilicata in 2016 and 2019, respectively. From June 2019 to October 2019, she was research assistant at the University of Basilicata working on a control interface for the collaborative robot Franka Emika Panda. From November 2019, she is PhD student in Engineering for Innovation and Sustainable Development at the University of Basilicata, with a scholarship titled ”Tecnologie di produzione additiva di componenti di medie e grandi dimensioni con sistemi robotici”. Her research interests include industrial robotics, collaborative robots and cooperative systems.
