International PhD school

The duration of the PhD Course is 3 years. The period of study attended at the International PhD School is acknowledged on the basis of the acquired 'Educational Credits', as required by the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The amount of the annual credits, which can be obtained by attending the doctoral courses, is 60. Each set of 25 standard working hours performed by the Student gives rise to 1 credit.
In order to obtain the final diploma, Students have to acquire 180 credits (60 per year) and prepare a thesis. The defence of the thesis will take place not before the end of the third year of the School. The thesis will be issued from a research work carried out under the supervision of a Professor, who will tutor the Student.
